Council Members

We have 2 vacancies on our School Council for parent representative. A description of these roles can be found at the following website: A Handbook for School Councils. We strongly encourage you to consider putting your name forward as a parent representative. We would love to have a council that is equally able to represent primary, elementary and minority groups. All input is needed and welcome. School council is a great way to volunteer your time in the community and act as a liaison between our parent population and the school staff.

This is an exciting way to contribute to your child’s education and it betters the learning for all students at Octagon Pond Elementary. To submit your name as a parent representative, please complete the form attached to the Aug 29 admin email on/before September 9th. The voting will take place Sept 15-19. The School Council meets 6-8 times per school year; typically one evening a month. Minutes will be posted here to our website.
